What a way to end the week! After many emails with Pastor Chizuo Sakurai well before we left Monterey, our whole family was able to navigate planes, trains, and automobiles (sans planes, actually) and attend Sunday worship service this morning at Calvary Chapel Kokubunji. It is always such a wonderful feeling to feel so welcome in a new body of Christ, we are quite overcome, so much so we forgot to take any pictures while there today!

Many highlights for me from today, but one to share now. At the end of service, the entire congregation joins arms and blesses each other with the Lord's blessing as instructed to Moses to the children of Israel, Numbers 6:24-26,

どうか、神様があなたがたを祝福し、守られるように。 あなた

がたを喜んでくださるように。 やさしく親切にし、平安を与えてくださいますように.

²⁴ “The LORD bless you and keep you; ²⁵ The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; ²⁶ The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’

Now that is awesome. Praise the Lord!
